1/17/2025 Health Advisory: Measles case in King County

Background Local public health officials in King County are investigating a confirmed measles case in an adult who traveled through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) on January 10, 2025, while infectious. The individual is a resident of Alaska and was likely exposed to measles while traveling abroad. 11/21/24 Health Advisory: Pertussis Update

Whatcom County Health and Community Services (WCHCS) staff continue to respond to a rise in pertussis infections at the local levels. 3/26/24 Health Update: Washington State updates COVID-19 isolation guidance

Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has released updated COVID-19 isolation guidance describing what people should do if they have respiratory virus symptoms or if they test positive for COVID-19 or another respiratory virus, such as influenza or RSV. 12/15/2: Blood Lead Reference Values

On October 28, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its blood lead reference value (BLRV) from 5µg/dL to 3.5µg/dL in response to the Lead Exposure Prevention and Advisory Committee (LEPAC) recommendation made on May 14, 2021.
